Monday-Friday summer squash clinic with Tufts University Men's and Women's Squash coaches Joe Raho and Alex Grayson.

Week #1: Monday, July 27th - Friday, July 31st, 2026.

Week #2: Monday, August 10th - Friday, August 14th, 2026.

Joe & Alex will take players through sessions and share insights on what it’s like to train like a Tufts squash player, all while experiencing the eateries and sights of Boston.

Clinic days typically run from 9/10am until 5pm, with morning and afternoon sessions, and optional evening activities. Lunch, snacks, and hydration options are included.

Training sessions include… swing & movement technical analysis, mobility/stretching, video review of match play, guidance on nutrition, mindfulness & breathwork, squash specific strength & conditioning to prevent injuries and improve speed, recovery techniques, sports medicine education, the craft of shot deception, and more.

Optional activities can include Red Sox games at Fenway Park, visiting famous areas of Boston such as Boston Commons, Public Gardens, Newbury St, Bow Market & Middlesex Fells. When possible, we try to eat from a selection of our favorite local eateries.

The week ends with a tournament and each player receives a clinic t-shirt, plus other useful tools to help improve a player’s squash journey.

We’re going to have a great summer at Tufts and we hope you can join us!

Each session is attended by a fully qualified athletic trainer from our Sports Medicine department.

Guest coaches will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Please be sure to choose which week you will attend. You will receive follow-up emails to ensure we have all the necessary details for each player attending our clinic.

FAQs

We welcome players of all levels! We recommended having some squash playing history to get the most out of the instruction at the summer clinic. We typically have a range of players from middle school and high school JV & Varsity teams, high school athletes interested in playing college squash, or players just looking to build their skills and knowledge of the game.

In the past Joe and I have had 2-3 CSA college squash players helping us each week. Guest coaches of previous summer clinics have included Hameed Ahmed from Harvard, Chris Sachvie of Columbia, and former UPenn assistant and current England Squash head coach Stuart Crawford.

We are so lucky to have 8 international ASB squash courts (7 regular courts with glass back, and 1 show court with glass back, glass side walls, and solid colored front wall. With the hard work of so many people, the squash center was opened in 2020. The squash center also includes a lounge, central pyramid seating, full sound system, Playsight live stream/on-demand video capabilities, fitness/strength equipment, and a team room.
